Intruder Detection Alarms
At K9 Protection Ltd, we are certified installers for the Ajax Systems alarm platform; a system which contains several benefits over and above most alarm systems on the market today. By its nature, the Ajax alarm platform is a high quality grade 2 intruder alarm system with both traditional sirens and app-access as standard but also with the ability to be remotely monitored.
Unlike many DIY and locally installed systems we've seen in holiday homes, our solution is a fully fledged alarm system with scalable features and all the functionality of a traditional home; when looking at self-install and more traditional wired system they can often be lacking in functionality and versatility. When we asked our engineers for the key features they find in Ajax, they said:
- Encrypted, Tamper Proof wireless detection
- Anti-mask detection
- Pet-proof sensors (up to about Labrador size)
- At least two communication paths as standard (We can choose from wired ethernet, WiFi, and 2 separate mobile networks)
- Extended battery life - measured in years, not months!
In addition to detection, we're able to integrate image verification detectors on to the alarm system which wirelessly transmit a series of images from the activation, allowing either verification of an intruder (and a clear photograph of them), or allowing you to immediately recognise an authorised person; such as a housekeeper or gardener and cancel the alarm remotely.
Fire Detection Alarms
In addition to intruder detection, we are able to integrate smoke, heat & carbon monoxide detectors in to the system providing an always-on level of detection and early warning to both guests on the premises and anyone you've given access to the app. Smoke detectors comply with EN14604 and when they include Carbon Monoxide detection can be provided in a sealed unit with a 10 year battery, ensuring they also comply with EN50291, making them suitable for installation as part of a rental property solution. Unlike days of old where testing smoke detectors would have meant clambering up on a well placed stool and pressing a button on the detector, all testing can be carried out from a few taps on the app.
Property Protection Alarms
We promised you a system that will provide reassurances against fire, theft, and flood; the last on that list is often the one that can cause the most damage but people sometimes don't factor. As part of a complete solution, we can integrate wireless flood detection devices in to your security system; monitoring strategic areas such as underneath sinks and baths and providing an early warning when a leak has arisen - even closing the water inlet valve if nobody is close at hand to investigate the alarm.
It's great when a rental property or holiday home is in use the whole year round, but the reality is that there will be times where occupancy doesn't reach 100%. When it comes to "mothballing" the property between rentals, this can be done with a simple click of the button within the Ajax App to perform any number of functions such as turning on and off circuits within the home, operating a valve on the main water feed, or just fully arming the whole home.
