As a company with a keen support for local policing, K9 Protection Ltd are proud to have fostered a good working relationship with our local police forces over the years. Back in late 2018 whilst attending an alarm response call, our operations director was informed of the National Police Dog Trials coming to Gwent's force area, and contact details were exchanged to see how we could become a little more involved nearer the time.
When the call came a few months later with the opportunity to sponsor the trials, it seemed a no brainer to get involved and to help support such an important event.
When people see police dogs (or any working dogs), the first perception is often that of "teeth on a leash". Helping in some small way to not only allow the public to see just how multi-faceted dog work can be, but recognise the best of the best in dog and handler amongst our Police friends was a cause held close to our hearts. The trials, held at the historic Tredegar House National Trust site were a great opportunity for families from across the region to take a ringside seat as the dogs (and handlers) demonstrated their skills across many disciplines over the course of the weekend.
