At K9 Protection we work to a set of values. This cascades from our Managing Director right through the team; it incorporates our website, our sales literature, and our documentation.

Chain of command

We endeavour to give our customers access to the complete chain of command. Nobody will ever be allowed to hide behind a voicemail system, and customer's calls will never be routed to an IVR system. 

If a member of staff's mobile phone is turned off, customers will always be given a second line you can call where someone will be able to help.


K9 Protection will only ever advertise services which we are currently able to offer, or we know will be coming soon. On the rare occasion prices are advertised, they will be honoured as long as the advert is live. If for any reason a promotion is taken down later than it's expiry, we will honour the promotion.

K9 Protection Ltd try to use genuine photographs of our team in action on our web site, and equipment we use. On occasion, it's necessary to use stock-art - the last thing we'd want would be one of our covert staff being spotted because of the power of google. All of our web photographs depict real world environments; it is a company policy not to show any aggressive behaviour on our website - we firmly believe you don't need to see a security dog with it's teeth out at the end of a lead in order to understand what it is capable of. Some pictures of our Event Security Systems are filled with dummy data; it would be negligent of us to use screen shots of customer information.

Customer Approach

We started life pre-incorporation as a subcontracting company, providing specialist services to other security partners, and to a greater or lesser degree still provide subcontract services to other security companies throughout the event season. At no time will we attempt communication directly with your client with view to achieving work; and should your client approach us directly to provide any of our specialist security services, providing you are the still the primary contractor, we will always refer them back to you, and alert you to any conversations which may have taken place.


K9 Protection insist on smart appearance of all of our uniformed team. We insist on boots and shoes being polished, collars being stiff, and ties being tight. We are firm believers in look professional, act professional. When working as a subcontractor, our tactical positions will always wear their own (unbranded uniform); specifically where our dog handlers need to carry additional equipment which is not practical to be on their belts.

We don't buy in to the Rent-a-cop style uniform that was inherited from America several years ago, and generally wear either a smart business suit or company branded fleece, depending on the client's requirements.

All of our security guards will have an SIA license to cover the relevant industry sector; In addition to their SIA license, they will always have a K9 Protection ID card which can be verified in the office, or by logging in to the customer section of our website (we don't list all the security features of our ID on a public section of the site for obvious reasons).


Seeing as we're talking about values, we have to do the unthinkable and mention cash.. Unlike so many in the security industry, K9 Protection like to ensure our security guards are paid promptly and correctly at the end of each month, in order to do this, we must ask that both our guarding team and our customers adhere to the strict deadlines when it comes to filling in time-plans. We invoice on the first week of each month for the previous month's work, and ask our customers to ensure payment reaches us no later than the 21st of the month in which the invoice is delivered. It is in our terms of engagement that we withhold the right to charge a fee of £25 for late payment. K9 Protection Ltd reserve the right to carry out credit checks prior to starting a contract; and in some rare cases may require a deposit prior to commencement of any services. 


it is our policy to ensure all vehicles on our fleet are kept in a roadworthy condition; and all client facing vehicles are kept clean and tidy, ready for action. All of our vehicles are fitted with bluetooth hands free audio to allow safe driving whilst talking on the phone.
